Greetings! We would like to share our story of how Eagle Rock came to be. You see in 2004, my wife and I decided that it was time to move and find "our" little bit of paradise. We wanted a milder climate, clean fresh air; a small town feel but with all of the amenities, ocean views, beaches, wildlife, organic food, friendly neighbors, mountains, pine trees and cultural diversity.

We have had the privilege to travel over 19 different countries, yet were having some difficulty deciding where our "Eden" was to be. One summer, we visited a friend on Vancouver Island. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, the people, the island, the food, and all of the Island's attractions. One evening, while enjoying a refreshing Vancouver Island micro brew, I asked our friend where they were planning to go for vacation this year. They answered "Why would we go anywhere, we have everything we want here, we live in paradise. Suddenly, we realized that he was right, we were in the midst of our paradise.

During that vacation we began our house hunting adventure. After 3 weeks we happened upon Eagle Quay, and were overcome with the beauty before us. Eagle Quay is a setting where we watched bald and golden eagles soar overhead, where deer meander through the forest as you sip coffee at the private beach, and where a family of otters play in the water just 10 feet from shore. During migration periods Orca Whales are visible from the beach. A block away a salmon creek beckons to have you rest and listen to the creek as it finds its way back to the ocean. We knew we had found our Paradise!

My wife and I take great pleasure in meeting different people, experiencing different cultures and assisting others when we can. We have spent hundreds of nights in hotels, resorts, vacation rentals, hostels, and bed and breakfasts, etc. Our treasured memories are in the times we spent at vacation rentals and bed and breakfasts. We felt these accommodations offered a peaceful serene environment, a place where you can really get to know people and find out the hidden attractions and treasures of the surrounding area.
